When John Alvin Farris was born on October 16, 1919, in Antlers, Oklahoma, his father, Ivear, was 25 and his mother, Jerushia, was 23. He had one son with Evangeline May Burns. He then married Margaret Ilene Bond on June 13, 1943 and they had a son John Bond Farris, Dennis half brother. He died on October 2, 1968, in Fresno, California, at the age of 48, and was buried there.
